Published purpose
This project aims to improve the protection and sustainable use of the marine natural resources of the Eastern Tropical Pacific Ocean (ETPO) ecosystems by the Marine Law Enforcement (MLE) community, as well as local communities. This includes specifically women, Indigenous Peoples, and Afro-descendants in Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, and Peru. This is achieved by strengthening the surveillance and control capacity of national marine authorities and by improving the sustainable use of marine resources by the coastal communities.
