Published purpose

This Technical Assistance facility supports the Canadian Climate and Nature Fund for the Private Sector in Asia (CANPA). CANPA is a partnership between the Government of Canada and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) aimed at supporting Indo-Pacific developing countries transition to inclusive, low carbon and climate-resilient economies. The technical assistance advances key CANPA objectives in climate change adaptation, nature-based solutions, and gender equality. It does so by supporting the preparation and implementation of projects that are eligible for or in receipt of CANPA concessional financing. It also supports research and knowledge dissemination, policy advice, and capacity development to improve market conditions for private sector investments in climate initiatives that promote gender equality in the Indo-Pacific region.
