Published purpose
This project aims to strengthen gender-responsive and climate-smart agriculture and food systems in the Caribbean by enhancing resilience to climate change, supply chain disruptions, and food price inflation. It supports women and other vulnerable groups to improve food security and build climate resilience. Project activities include: (1) developing and sharing knowledge products to support the adoption of climate-smart technologies and practices; (2) improving production and processing facilities to reduce post-harvest losses and increase efficiency and quality; (3) supporting the use of gender-responsive decision-support tools for disaster risk management and emergency response; and (4) providing training to grassroots organizations, farmers, and fishers to promote resilient agricultural livelihoods.
