Published purpose

The project "My health, my rights (Sante mwen, dwa mwen - Mi salud, mis derechos)" aims to achieve more equal exercise of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for women, adolescent girls and children, especially those in vulnerable or marginalized situations. This project is implemented in partnership with Lawyers without Borders Canada and le Centre d'étude et de coopération internationale (CECI). Project activities include: (1) providing material and technical support to mobile and decentralized health services; (2) training primary health care providers, including community and outreach health care providers, particularly in family planning and the prevention and management of gender-based violence; (3) raising awareness among women and adolescent girls regarding good sexual health practices; and (4) providing technical assistance to institutions and organizations in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of SRHR programs and policies. It will directly benefit more than 750,000 people and indirectly benefit nearly 5 million people, 40% of whom are from Afro-descendant or indigenous communities.
