Published purpose
The objective of this project is to diversify markets for urchins. Focusing on the domestic market is something the sector also wants to explore to increase consumption of fish and seafood and build Canada's reputation internationally. Activities include market research and attending trade shows in Canada, Asia, European Union and the United States. In addition, the organization will develop incoming missions to Canada and outgoing missions to Japan and the United States, and will update promotional material.
