Published purpose

This project aims to reduce the threat to the global population from nuclear and radiological materials. Through the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), this project seeks to promote implementing and adhering to key nuclear security-related legal frameworks. Project activities include: (1) supporting targeted outreach to Member States to provide legislative assistance with implementation; (2) organizing mock trials and scenario-based exercises for law enforcement and judicial officials to build adherence capabilities; and (3) supporting the development of tools and resources to assist and guide Member States through joining the legal conventions.
