Published purpose

This project aims to strengthen the resilience and stability of Jordan from threats of terrorism by supporting the integration of women into the Jordanian Special Operations Forces (JORSOF). This project seeks to design and construct a female dedicated accommodation building to improve recruitment, training, and retention of women soldiers within the JORSOF. Project activities include: (1) designing and conducting necessary environmental and engineering assessments prior to construction; (2) constructing an accommodation building; and (3) assessing the operational benefits and long-term impacts that the provision of dedicated accommodations carries throughout the JORSOF and the broader Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF). The beneficiary of the project is the Jordan Special Operations Forces (JORSOF), specifically women soldiers.
