Published purpose

This contribution will foster the land knowledge sharing between Indigenous Elders and youth; will connect youth to the land to introduce and enhance their traditional harvesting skills and instill appreciation and stewardship for the land; and develop programming and leadership capacity within the Aklavik Hunters and Trappers Committee to continue programming in future years, while providing economic opportunities to those in the community who will be contracted to assist in running the camps.
