Published purpose

This contribution supports the Beaver Hills Biosphere Reserve Association in the development of an active management plan to retain populations of large carnivores within the Beaver Hills Biosphere. Through identifying source populations of large carnivores and corridors within the Biosphere, identifying sources of human-carnivore conflicts and human-caused mortality of carnivores, and providing recommendations on mitigations, this project will improve natural regulatory processes within the region and improve the health of ungulate populations in Elk Island National Park.
