This contribution supports a study by the Canadian Council of Academies on the best configuration for arctic research co-ordination in Canada. With changes in climate, ship traffic and Indigenous sovereignty, the partnership of northern residents with Canadian academics and other researchers is evolving to assure the prosperity and resilience of the North.
