Published purpose

This contribution focuses on planning for an Indigenous Knowledge (IK) study to be conducted for the proposed Hells Gate Plains IPCA, which also spans a sizeable area to the north and northwest of Kouchibouguac National Park. By gathering key information on the area’s cultural and natural heritage, the study modulates the development of various future IPCA management strategies and plans, including those relating to conservation, species at risk recovery, resource use and climate change adaptation. The project lays the groundwork for such a study to be conducted in a future year.
