Published purpose
This contribution supports the implementation of a research study on a location that has been proposed as the site of a future National Urban Park in Winnipeg. The site study is being undertaken by the University of Manitoba, in cooperation with several community organizations and Indigenous groups who are interested in seeing a National Urban Park in central Winnipeg along the Red and Seine Rivers. The research will provide valuable information to assist in the selection of a site and help to advance discussions between Parks Canada and partners and stakeholders in Winnipeg.
