Published purpose
This contribution supports Ditidaht Nation Guardian’s Kakawad Program operations in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve (PRNPR). This guardian program will expand to include a marine component supporting the Southern Resident Killer Whale program initiatives. Expanded elements of this program include enhancing capacity and collaboration between Ditidaht Nation and PRNPR; further training and career opportunities for West Coast Trail Guardians; developing internal and external communication materials for Ditidaht Nation and PRNPR; and continuing stewardship practices, front line observations and communications along the West Coast Trail marine areas.
