Published purpose
Facilitation of Ktunaxa Activities, Engagement and Collaboration in the National Parks: This contribution supports activities and engagement of Ktunaxa Nation Council, related to the operations and management of Yoho, Kootenay, Glacier, and Mount Revelstoke national parks. Ktunaxa ʔa·knusti Guardians Program: This contribution supports the development of a Ktunaxa ʔa·knusti Guardians Program proposal with terms of reference and a timeline for implementation, including a pilot phase. This will expand the existing ʔa·knusti Guardians Program into Yoho, Kootenay, Mount Revelstoke and Glacier national parks. Visitor Experience Strategy for Rogers Pass National Historic Site: This contribution supports the in-person participation of members of the Ktunaxa Nation in a Rogers Pass National Historic Site visit and workshop on the future of visitor experience in the pass. The intent of the workshop is to begin discussions and collaboration for the presentation of history, and the development and delivery of Indigenous content and stories in Glacier National Park. Ktunaxa Nation Council’s Participation in the Proposed Twinning of the Trans-Canada Highway in Yoho National Park: This contribution supports the development of a strategic approach for the Ktunaxa Nation Council’s participation in the proposed twinning of the Trans-Canada Highway in Yoho National Park.
