Published purpose

The contribution supports the acquisition of new LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) and multi-spectral aerial photography data in the western portions of Wood Buffalo National Park (WBNP). This data will be acquired through flying aerial transects via fixed-wing aircraft. Raw LiDAR and multi-spectral data will be processed and analyzed to develop a set of spatial map products including digital terrain and vegetation maps. This baseline data will ultimately improve conservation planning and support both the natural and social science communities with future research and studies.
