This contribution provides Misipawistik Cree Nation with the means to build internal capacity to support and participate meaningfully in the protected area establishment process, including (1) reviewing previous progress on the establishment process that ended in 2013, (2) engagement sessions, and (3) negotiations for protected areas establishment process including a potential Indigenous Protected and Conserved Area and a potential national park reserve.
