Published purpose

This contribution supports telemetry research into Lake Whitefish habit to identify priority areas for conservation within Fathom Five National Marine Park and broad actions with Lake Huron. The project applies the principle of “twoeyed seeing” to integrate Indigenous knowledge with quantitative analysis of fisheries data to generate an integrative understanding of recent declines in its population and foster a collaborative approach to support effective fisheries management of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation’s traditional territory and other fishery activities in Lake Huron.
