Published purpose

This grant supports the acquisition of knowledge essential to the conservation of large wild canid populations in Quebec, particularly in western Quebec, a region where wolf-coyote hybridization appears to be relatively strong. The results of the project will enable the partners to set up permanent monitoring of the large canid populations frequenting their territory, in order to track fluctuations in their abundance and adopt appropriate conservation and management measures.
