This contribution supports the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne in hiring a Conservation Officer and enhancing the collaboration between the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne- Environment Program and Thousand Islands National Park resource conservation and enforcement staff. Programming will focus on the protection of cultural and ecological sites, the development of harvesting guidelines, and the promotion of environmental education within the Akwesasne community.
