Published purpose

This grant supports the development of essential knowledge for the conservation of large wild canid populations in Quebec, particularly in the western region, where wolf–coyote hybridization appears to be relatively high. The results of this project will enable partners to establish permanent monitoring of large canid populations within their territories, track fluctuations in abundance, and implement appropriate conservation and management measures.
