Published purpose

This contribution supports Pacheedaht First Nation’s Marine Program operations in the disiibak (territory) of the Pacheedaht čaabat̓ (hereditary chief), which includes a portion of the operational area of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve (West Coast Trail Unit). The marine program supports Southern Resident Killer Whale (SRKW) recovery via incorporating Pacheedaht cultural and ecological perspectives and knowledge into SRKW communications, science and monitoring activities.
