Published purpose
Climate warming in northern regions has had consequences at physical (permafrost freeze/thaw cycles), ecological (increased shrubiness, mammals' habitat changes), social (hunting/trapping, transportation) and economic levels (infrastructure, shipping and resources). The objective of the proposed project is to improve the monitoring of the cryosphere through the development of a monitoring network in order to better predict the multi-levels impacts of arctic climate change.
