Published purpose

This proposal aims to establish a Research Chair program that aligns with the objectives outlined in POLAR’s Science & Technology (S&T) Framework. This Chair program will play a crucial role in advancing Arctic research, supporting the creation of knowledge, and fostering collaboration with POLAR’s research and policy staff. Additionally, Acquisition of high-resolution LiDAR and red, green, and blue airborne remote sensing data collected in summer 2024, implementation of permafrost monitoring instrumentation, including sensors for temperature, soil moisture, and saturated layer thickness as well as the development of a dedicated online platform to support northern research infrastructure in the Canadian Arctic.
