Published purpose
The purpose of the contribution is to provide funding to support a project to reduce youth violence and youth gang threats in Surrey, British Columbia. SNYP will target initiatives to address risk and protective factors associated with youth violence and youth gangs in Surrey; to provide children and youth alternatives to joining gangs and help them develop social skills and attitude. Also, SNYP will contribute to the development and dissemination of knowledge regarding what works to prevent crime.
