Published purpose
Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Societies (CAEFS) is a national organization with twenty-four self-governing member societies that work with and for women and girls in the justice system. CAEFS works to ensure substantive equality in the delivery and development of services and programs through public education, research, legislative and administrative reform. The organization’s two primary long-term objectives are: to reduce the likelihood of women and girls being criminalized, and to reduce the number of women in prison. CAEF’s target population is women and girls who may be marginalized, victimized, criminalized or institutionalized.
