Published purpose
This project seeks to create a more robust training progression in avalanche search and rescue (AvSAR) with the development of a fundamental course and revision of a more advanced course. This standardized training program will better meet the needs of professional and volunteer search and rescue (SAR) practitioners in both Official Languages by helping to build instructor capacity in regions where currently there are challenges to serve dedicated SAR teams and other avalanche practitioners in need of AvSAR training.
