Published purpose

Lac Simon is a reserve of about 326 hectares, situated on the west shore of Lac Simon, 32 km southwest of Val d'Or. The on-reserve population is approximately 1711 people. The project consists of building a new Police Station in Lac Simon as the existing detachment shows visible signs of disrepair and no longer meets current health and safety standards. The project is schedule to commence in the summer of 2020. It was designed in accordance with the National Building Code and will be led by qualified professionals.
