Published purpose

This project aims to establish and implement a comprehensive framework and governance structure for volunteer Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR) in Alberta. This framework will leverage GSAR's All-Hazards capabilities to effectively respond to emergency management incidents, in collaboration with the Search and Rescue Volunteer Association of Canada (SARVAC) program. Additionally, the project will develop and execute two integrated disaster and emergency response training exercises, both inter-jurisdictional and multi-jurisdictional. It will also formalize relationships and agreements with various organizations, agencies, and jurisdictions.
