Indigenous Leadership Development Institute Inc. (ILDI)

Published purpose

Indigenous Leadership Development Institute Inc. (ILDI) is a non-profit organization established to build leadership capacity in Canadian Indigenous people. ILDI is 100% managed and staffed by Indigenous people and directed by a volunteer Indigenous board reflecting the diversity of the Indigenous community. This project will provide funding to ILDI to conduct Indigenous led engagement with First Nations communities and organizations to validate the elements to inform the First Nations police services legislation. Indigenous led engagement is imperative to build further support of First Nations and key partners. ILDI will coordinate and facilitate a series of ten (10) in person regional engagement sessions across Canada (virtual participation will also be made available) and one national engagement session.
