Published purpose

Bringing Empowerment, Awareness, Culture & Online Navigation (BEACON) aims to raise awareness about online child sexual exploitation risks among Indigenous youth and strengthen community partnerships to combat these risks. It will also improve data collection on Indigenous youth experiences to inform policies and prevention strategies. Ultimately, the project will enable Friendship Centres to provide culturally appropriate online safety education, reducing exploitation risks and creating a safer online environment for Indigenous youth.
