Published purpose

The project aims to contribute to reduced greenhouse gas emissions by improving and implementing carbon pricing approaches in Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam. The project seeks to take a country-specific approach to strengthen and establish new carbon pricing approaches in each of the target countries, coordinate across them, and increase stakeholder support for carbon pricing by working with civil society and labour partners, local communities, industry, traditionally marginalized groups, women, and national and local authorities to design, improve and implement carbon mitigation policies. Key project activities include: (1) developing carbon-pricing policy options and knowledge products for national and regional policymakers and stakeholders; (2) developing carbon pricing tools, models and simulations for national and regional policy makers and stakeholders; and (3) organizing workshops, events and other outreach and engagement sessions at the local, national and regional level.
