Published purpose

This project seeks to reduce the impact of malicious information and communication technology (ICT) activities by criminal enterprises and international terrorist organizations. Project beneficiaries are primarily policymakers, as well as stakeholders from civil society, industry and the cyber expert community. Project activities include: (1) carrying out research and expert consultations; (2) developing national cyber threat assessments, including recommendations for enhanced cybersecurity; (3) facilitating tailored scenario-based exercises; and (4) publishing a compendium of best practices for gender mainstreaming in the cyber sector. The United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) implements this project.
