Published purpose

This project aims to support the International Committee of the Red Cross’ (ICRC) Special Appeal: Addressing Sexual Violence in 2024 and 2025. It helps to increase the ICRC and Red Cross and Red Crescent movement’s capacity to prevent and respond to sexual violence in priority countries. With GAC's support and other donors, project activities include: (1) providing clinical care, psychosocial support and material assistance to victims and survivors of SGBV; (2) training and developing capacities for national society staff on SGBV prevention and response; and (3) conducting outreach and engaging with communities, authorities and weapon bearers on the prevention of sexual violence.
