Published purpose

Through this project, the Independent Investigative Mechanism for Myanmar (IIMM) aims to increase its capacity to collect and analyse evidence of serious international crimes and violations of international law committed in Myanmar since 2011. The compiled information seeks to help in preparing files for autonomous criminal proceedings in national, regional, or international courts or tribunals that currently possess, or may in the future acquire, jurisdiction over these offenses. Project activities include: (1) hiring 2 positions to bolster the organization’s capacity in Computer Vision technologies; (2) covering technology and training expenses to support the acquisition of hardware and services; and (3) managing operational expenses related to daily information technology needs.
