Published purpose

This project aims to strengthen security and counter-terrorism operations by improving close quarter battlefield (CQB) techniques for Tunisia’s National Guard Academy in Bir Bouregba, as per international human rights, rule of law standards, and gender considerations. Project activities include: (1) constructing a CQB training facility; (2) supplying modernized equipment and training to improve the monitoring, data analysis, and real-time communication capacities of law enforcement officers; (3) providing technical assistance to improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the appropriate and safe use of CQB techniques; and (4) providing technical assistance to promote and increase the capacity of female officers in frontline and operational roles.
