Published purpose

The International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Ukraine Capacity Development Fund (UCDF) program aims to support Ukraine’s ambitious economic reform agenda, post-war reconstruction, and European Union accession. Against this backdrop, and in the context of the 2024 and, more recently, the 2025 Extended Fund Facility (EFF) arrangement, the IMF will support and scale up capacity development support for Ukraine in several areas. Project activities include: (1) implementing fiscal reforms, including revenue mobilization, public financial management, and expenditure policy; (2) developing monetary policy; (3) developing financial sector policies; (4) strengthening financial integrity and tackling corruption; (5) strengthening data compilation and dissemination; and (6) providing country-tailored training and technical assistance on macroeconomic frameworks. The IMF’s engagements will be closely tied to the priorities and conditionalities set out in the EFF-supported program.
