Published purpose

This project aims to counter disinformation and extremist narratives and promote accountability by providing Syrians of all backgrounds access to reliable and truthful information. Project activities include: (1) providing gender and trauma-sensitive media development training, mentoring, and operational and productive assistance to a core group of independent media outlets; (2) producing content that targets marginalized groups, including women, youth, and returnees from displacement camps, and focuses on promoting media literacy; (3) providing leadership training and mentoring for women and young journalists of a women-led media outlet; and (4) conducting research to monitor audience perception of content and media credibility, relevance and professionalism.
