Published purpose

April 2024 – An estimated 300 million people worldwide need humanitarian assistance and protection due to ongoing conflicts, natural disasters and disease outbreaks. In response to humanitarian needs, Global Affairs Canada’s (GAC) humanitarian assistance provides predictable, multi-year, and multi-country support to longstanding partners in protracted humanitarian contexts globally. With GAC’s support, Humanity and Inclusion provides assistance to address the urgent needs of 63,037 beneficiaries in Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen. This project focuses on providing health and protection services to vulnerable populations. This includes persons with disabilities, injuries, and those with signs of psychological distress. Project activities include: (1) providing physical and functional rehabilitation services, including providing assistive devices to people with disabilities and their caregivers; (2) providing mental health and psychosocial services; and (3) supporting basic needs of vulnerable populations.
