Published purpose

This 56-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow the organization to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the following activities: data collection, action-based research and developing gender-based violence prevention strategies. This organization will strengthen capacity for members by identifying and addressing their needs and maintaining a woman-centered approach. The additional funds will be used to build capacity through advocating for shelter needs in relation with the National Action Plan, evaluate needs, and provide training related to advocacy. They will also develop strategies to foster relationship building with Indigenous partners and communities.
