Published purpose
This 15-month project will honor the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include: traditional pilgrimages, pow wows, group meetings, land-based activities of grandmothers and great-grandmothers and traditional local medicines gatherings, culminating with a commemoration ceremony for the families of missing and murdered Indigenous women from Elsipogtog.
