Published purpose
This 20-month project will honour the lives and legacies of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and LGBTQ2S individuals and increase awareness about missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and LGBTQ2S individuals. Project activities will include: coordination and support of commemoration initiatives. These will include healing camps, men’s, women’s, and youth groups, a traditional hunt, education and awareness activities. In addition, a larger commemorative initiative will be developed in consultation with affected families.
