Published purpose

This 12-month project will allow Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada to develop and deliver a highly effective Covid-19 related communication strategy that will be culturally-and linguistically adapted to the Inuit women and communities. This evidence-based communication campaign will ensure increased safety and security of this vulnerable population by the gathering of information and lessons learned from the first wave of Covid-19 crisis in order to ensure an efficient response to any emerging needs that could arise from the development of the pandemic. The objective is to increase preparedness by developing key messages and communication tools and by strengthening the coordination and liaison with organizations and media partners in Inuit homeland. This will be culturally adapted to the Inuit population aimed at reaching vulnerable populations of Inuit women primarily in southern urban centres but also in Inuit Nunangat.
