Published purpose

This 28-month project aims to strengthen the capacity of GRIS-Québec to promote LGBTQ2 equality in the Greater National Capital Region. Project objectives will be achieved by developing a strategic plan, diversifying and modernizing funding sources to ensure its long-term sustainability, and conducting a market study to implement a Maison de la diversité (diversity centre) that will reduce rental costs for user organizations in order to improve inter-organizational collaboration and partnership. A 12-month extension will allow the organization to develop communication tools to pursue its philanthropic development, to consolidate and review all of their internal governance documents, to reinforce the volunteer component of the organization and to create a central database to meet their needs. By the end of the project, the organization will have increased knowledge and capacity to advance equality with respect to gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. In addition, partnerships and collaborations will have been established or strengthened to support the LGBTQ2 movement.
