Published purpose

This 29-month project will strengthen the capacity and networks of le Rendez-vous de la fierté Acadie Love inc. in order to promote LGBTQ2 equality. The following activities will help achieve the objectives of the project: support management capacity through a strategic, operational and financial plan; build the capacity of the organization and its employees; strengthen collaboration between LGBTQ2 organizations in the region; increase the capacity of the LGBTQ2 sector and make francophone populations aware of the presence and issues of LGBTQ2 communities in minority Francophone communities. Acadie love inc. will use the additional funds to pay for an employee’s salary and related costs and to hire consultants. The funds will also be used for research purposes, more specifically for the collection of data and statistics on the needs of Francophone LGBTQ2 organizations in New Brunswick. At the end of the project, the organization will have developed a long-term sustainability plan and an internal governance to ensure continued development. The organization will have established a collaboration between community organizations and other partners in the sector with the objective of raising awareness and integrating the LGBTQ2 community in New Brunswick. The supplemental funding for a second phase was granted to offset the salary of one employee and related costs and to hire one or more consultants. More specifically, the funds will be used for research, including the collection of data and statistics on the needs of Francophone LGBTQ2 organizations in New Brunswick. A second supplement was provided to develop its organizational management, promote LGBTQ2+ education, awareness and training, and support LGBTQ2+ and allied organizations.
