This 30-month project will provide key services to Indigenous women and families of MMIWG in the context of COVID-19. The MMI-FIND Helpline will provide support, access to key services and serve as a referral service system for Indigenous people across the Eastern provinces facing compound impacts of MMIWG and COVID-19. The organization will also form an Advisory Circle to oversee the coordination and expansion of the MMI-FIND Helpline in Eastern provinces. At the end of the project, the organization will have further developed their relationships with Indigenous organizations across Eastern provinces, expanded the MMI-FIND Helpline to Eastern provinces, developed resource manuals and conducted staff training for helpline workers in order to better support Aboriginal women and families of MMIWG.
