Published purpose

This 17-month project will strengthen the ability of Sexual Assault Services of Saskatchewan Inc. (SASS) to prevent and address sexual violence and the gendered impacts of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan. This will be achieved through the development of an evidence-based and trauma-informed curriculum of sexual violence education, as well as the creation of diverse platforms for information dissemination, resource sharing, and skill building. SASS will convene an advisory board, task a curriculum development team, and engage with special interest groups for the promotion of violence prevention. At the end of the project, the organization will have completed an environmental scan of similar curriculums, developed training guidelines for first responders, disseminated the new curriculum to facilitators, and hosted a leadership forum.
