Published purpose

This 30-month project will support a feminist response and recovery from the current impacts of COVID-19, through systemic change. The Centre ontarien de prévention des agressions (COPA) will achieve this by (1) adapting and testing its equity and inclusion program "Changer son monde"; (2) implementing the adapted version of the program; (3) accompanying schools in the revision of the Code of Life and the development, implementation, evaluation and renewal of the action plan; and (4) evaluating the program and reporting on the results. At the end of the project, the organization will have contributed to addressing systemic barriers by advancing inclusive policies and practices; and addressing persistent harmful gender norms and attitudes to support women’s equality. As part of this project, three schools from three regions of the province of Ontario will be involved to share the most typical issues encountered within their schools and to inform COPA of their needs in order to adapt training and program development.
