Published purpose

This 21-month project will support a feminist response and recovery from the current impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic through systemic change. VIDEA will achieve this by implementing a baseline data using Indigenous methodologies; creating and implementing strength-based Indigenous community processes and action plans; creating new partnerships and carrying out capacity building activities; producing communication materials and resources; and implementing strategic systems-level interventions that increase the capacity of institutions to expand the reach, impact and sustainability of gender equality efforts in Indigenous communities. At the end of the project, the organization will have contributed to addressing systemic barriers by advancing inclusive policies and practice and addressing persistent harmful gender norms and attitudes to support women’s equality.
