Published purpose

This 28-month project will develop and implement a curriculum to identify the gaps and security needs of women and women identified Trans, Non-Binary, and Two-Spirit (TN2S) in housing services to address the root causes of gender-based violence. Peers Victoria Resource Society, will achieve this by using a trauma-based approach to gender and sexualized violence in housing services by facilitating consultations, developing a curriculum to address service gaps and unmet safety and security needs of women in housing services, and delivering this curriculum to residents, peer support workers and housing operators. At the end of the project, the organization will have developed promising practices that have increased networks and collaboration to accelerate systemic change, addressed persistent harmful gender norms and attitudes, advanced inclusive policies, and practices, and supported positive distribution of authority, voices, and decision-making power.
