Published purpose

Through this 22-month project, the Conseil québécois LGBT plans to support organizations working to protect the population's rights by improving their practices in terms of LGBTQ+ inclusion. In particular, the LGBT Quebec Council intends to document the systemic barriers faced by LGBTQ2+ people, particularly those who find themselves at the crossroads of oppression, when they interact with these organizations and establish a diagnostic of their current practices (including services provided, external and internal communications, and human resources) to recommend the right approaches for the implementation of more inclusive practices. In addition, the Conseil québécois LGBT intends to disseminate these best practices and tools developed during the project to members of its network throughout the province. By the end of the project, the organization will have contributed to the elimination of systemic barriers by adopting more inclusive policies and practices within the project's partner organizations.
